Foraging
Grass | Maize | Wholecrop
We’re able to provide either individual operations or offer a complete service.
With timing being the most important we run a Claas 970 forage harvester producing the highest chop quality, ability to record yield data and apply additives to improve silage quality.
Grass
Our set up means that we can offer a full grass operation from mowing to ensiling. We run a set of triple mowers to allow us to cut large acreage quickly with our tedder read to go if needed. then our merger will get it all set up ready for our Claas forager. We’ll assess length of haul needed and provide adequate number of trailers to ensure maximum efficiency. On the clamp our JBC loading shovel ensures it's compacted (an additional tractor can be provided if required to roll the clamp if needed).
Maize
Full maize harvesting operation offered with a 12 row header on our Claas forage harvester which provides a consistent chop length and all kernels cracked. The large header ensures we can efficiently open up a field , whatever their size, and reduce compaction by limiting runs needed over the acreage.
Wholecrop
For wholecrop our Claas forage harvester with it’s custom header will direct cut the crop giving a clean stubble finish minimising grain losses and ensuring a high quality crop is produced. The chop length can be set to whatever is required, so whether it’s for animal feed or an AD plant we can accommodate.
Baling, wrapping & chasing
Silage | Hay | Haylage | Straw
With our two Class 120 x 90 square balers we have the ability to offer great outputs, for what are often time critical farming elements. So whether it’s silage, hay, haylage or straw that you’re looking to get baled our team will be able to help.
We’re also able to offer a bale chaser which means we can move and stack your bales quickly and efficiently with minimal handling damage.
Our McHale wrapper ensures quick wrapping service which is vital to reduce any spoilage and is available for silage or haylage.
We can offer a complete service including mowing, tedding, raking, baling and wrapping if required.
Drilling
Maize | Cereals | Grass
We have a 10 row Vederstad Tempo drill with the ability to apply a range of fertliser. With section control it ensure no over drilling which saves on seed. The set up also gives us the ability to drill complicated designs for maize mazes from a pre-prepared plan.
We also have a 6m Rapid for grass and cereal drilling plus a 6m harrow flat roll with seeder on for grass and clover.
Our 3m power harrow drill combination is idea for grass and cereal drilling.,
